April Mastroluca is dynamic leader recognized for her strategic thinking, exceptional facilitation, and a unique flair for uniting diverse stakeholders around a shared vision. With nearly two decades of experience in the nonprofit world, she has mastered the art of driving impactful change by connecting decision-makers and community groups in ways that truly matter.
During her tenure as an Assemblywoman in Nevada, April not only served multiple terms but also led key committees—most notably the Health & Human Services Committee. In this role, her ability to navigate discussions among legislators, lobbyists, and community leaders helped forge consensus and craft transformative policies, underscoring her commitment to forward-thinking public service.
In 2021, April channeled her deep expertise in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, meeting facilitation, and training to establish Synergy Nonprofit Consulting. As the demand for her insights grew from for-profit organizations, she broadened her impact by rebranding to Synergy Strategic Solutions—expanding her services to include customized organizational assessments, strategic planning, and comprehensive training alongside her renowned facilitation work.
In 2023, April reached another milestone by earning a license to advise nonprofits on building capacity, accountability, and sustainability through the implementation of the Standards for Excellence® code—making her the only consultant in Nevada with this distinction.
Beyond her official roles, April's vibrant commitment to community collaboration is evident through her volunteer work. Serving as Secretary/Treasurer of the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, she skillfully manages complex group dynamics and intricate regulatory processes. In every endeavor, her energetic and innovative approach creates spaces where diverse groups come together to strategize, innovate, and transform individual efforts into collective success, driving sustainable growth across the nonprofit sector.
